Bibby Line Group // 20th June 2018
Flying the flag for our Giving Something Back programme, 22 intrepid hikers set off in June on the ultimate UK trek challenge to climb the three highest peaks in in the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Colleagues battled some of the toughest weather conditions we have ever had on a central event as they trekked 24 miles, with 2,500ft worth of ascent in a single day. But through team work and supporting each other they got through the challenge together.
Sophie Garret, Executive Assistant at Bibby Line Group said: “They say the Y3P challenge is one of the UK’s toughest… and they are right!! It would have been a hard trek but the bad weather made the trek one of the toughest things I’ve ever done. We trekked 24 miles in driving rain, hail stones, rock climbed up wet & muddy rocks and descended mud slides! Everyone worked together and did an amazing job raising so much money for their charities”
John Cresswell, Bibby Line Group CEO added his praise:
“Congratulations to everyone who took part on an amazing effort – especially in such awful weather conditions. The Y3P is a real challenge and one you should be immensely proud of having taken part in, raising thousands for charity in the process.”
So far our trekkers have raised £6,500 for their charities. An amazing achievement – congratulations to everyone that took part or sponsored our inspirational trekkers.
