We would like to celebrate our inspirational colleagues across Bibby Line Group who have proved their commitment to making a difference in local communities with an amazing number of days donated to various charities and good causes over the past few weeks.

‘Operation Give Something Back’ was launched in November to encourage colleagues across the group to take paid leave to volunteer for good causes this festive season and sprinkle some Bibby magic for families and individuals that need support more than ever with the current cost-of-living crisis.

Highlights include:

  • 75 days donated as part of ‘Operation GSB’ with a further 30+ across the group during November and December
  • 200 vulnerable residents enjoyed a Christmas Lunch thanks to Bibby Financial Services in support of Age UK
  • 100+ Christmas cards written to care home residents
  • 1000s of toys sorted and packed for local children in need with Cash for Kids
  • 1000s of food items sorted and delivered to foodbanks and charities with FareShare UK
  • 175 presents wrapped for a children’s Christmas party for Stick ‘n’ Step charity

Jonathan Lewis, BLG Managing Director congratulated colleagues: “I’m delighted to see that once again colleagues have generously given their time to improving the communities in which we live and work; our support is vitally important, particularly at this time of year.”

We look forward to giving even more back next year as we work towards our goal of 1000 colleague days given to the community every year by 2024 as part of Project Compass.
