Bibby Line Group today has confirmed the sale of its GreenAcres business, a leading provider of woodland burial and celebration events.

GreenAcres will be backed by a set of independent investors who have experience and other interests in the cemetery and memorial gardens sector. The business will continue to be led by GreenAcres Managing Director Andy Tait, with senior leadership support from Richard Gomersall in the capacity of Executive Chairman, who has a wealth of experience in the funeral sector.

Mike Brown, Chairman of GreenAcres commented: “As part of a diverse and forward looking family business we are constantly considering the composition of our portfolio, and the best future for each of our businesses. We are pleased that this transaction gives GreenAcres, Andy and his team the opportunity to create a larger business in the sector with a real opportunity to accelerate growth.”

Andy Tait added “We believe that this will give the business the best opportunity to grow further, enhancing our strengths in customer service, staff development and serving the local communities surrounding our parks.

“This gives GreenAcres access to the investment we need to accelerate our growth, and we look forward to this next important phase of our company’s development.”
