Bibby Line Group Finance & Tax Director wins prestigious industry award

BLG Finance and Tax Director Mary Oliver was awarded ‘Liverpool Region FD of the Year’ last night at the Finance Director of Year Awards 2022.

Covering the Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, North Wales and Warrington regions, the prestigious Finance Director of The Year Awards recognise and celebrates the outstanding work done by the region’s financial directors.

Mary was one of 15 winners on the night, whittled down from a list of the best 250 financial leaders in the region.

Mary said “I was honoured to be nominated for these awards and delighted to be named as the Liverpool Region FD of the year, especially given the high calibre of finance directors in the North West and Bibby Line Group’s strong connection to Liverpool. Having started my career with the Bibby Line Group in a tax role, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been offered to expand my experience into finance and the support I’ve received throughout the organisation.”

In August BLG reported a strong return to profit following the strategic realignment of the Group’s portfolio with a net profit of £35.5m, and improved performance across each of its core businesses.
