Bibby Line Group // 10th June 2019
Flying the flag for our Giving Something Back programme, 23 intrepid hikers set off in June to conquer Mount Snowdon – the highest mountain in England and Wales. However there was a twist, the trek started at midnight…
The team made up of colleagues from Bibby Financial Services, Costcutter, Bibby Distribution, Bibby HydroMap and Bibby Line Group Head Office set off at midnight on 1st June 2019, and battled through 18km of rain, fog & sleep deprivation to reach Snowdon summit at 3.30am to raise over £9,200 for charity.
We asked our trekkers to summarise their experience in just three words. Watch their video here:
John Cresswell, Bibby Line Group CEO:
“Congratulations to you all for an amazing effort. I believe the weather was not great, but you all kept going and achieved the full 9.5 miles in the wind, rain and dark. You all worked really well together to complete this challenge and by living the Bibby values, and supporting each other they got through the challenge together. Well done for raising over £9,200 and thank you all for representing the Bibby Line Group businesses so brilliantly.
Since 2007, Bibby Line Group and its employees have donated over £10million and thousands of volunteering hours to over 1,000 charitable causes as part of our Giving Something Back Programme.
