Donate A Day (Volunteering)

Did you know… you can take paid leave to volunteer for charities, community events or organisations through Bibby Line Group’s Donate A Day colleage initiative?

What’s Donate A Day?
Bibby Line Group’s new Donate A Day initiative has been introduced as part of Project Compass to support us all to donate time to the causes we care about.

Can I take part?
All colleagues across our group (Bibby Financial Services, Bibby Marine, Head Office, Garic) are encouraged to take a minimum of one fully paid day per year to help charities, community events or organisations.

What activity could I do?
You may already volunteer, and would like a little extra time doing what you are passionate about. You may want to do something new, either on your own or as part of your team. Or you may want to join an upcoming organised company event like a beach clean.

Why Volunteer?

  • Help your community
  • Boost your happiness, health and wellbeing
  • Meet new people
  • Bond with your team
  • Share your skills, or learn new ones
  • Make a real difference to someone’s life
  • Have some fun!

How do I get involved?
Each company has their own guidance and processes so please speak to your HR team or Community Champion.

Also remember to log your activity here and email us at community@bibbylinegroup.co.uk to let us know what you’re up to so we can feature it online and in our Bibby News. You never know, a little publicity can help your charity get noticed for future support!

How do I get involved?

Visit the Do-It.org website to search volunteering opportunities in your area, where you can search for further links and possible options by inputting your interests and skills.

The Giving Something Back team can also offer advice and guidance should you wish to explore this possibility.
